SPEKTAKL

The Tiny Kingdom of Princess Aurelka

Aurelka became a princess one March morning. First the letter came: “Dear Aurelka, we kindly inform you, that from now on you are a princess. Unbox your kingdom and rule wisely”, followed shortly after by a parcel.

Inside, there was the smallest kingdom in the world. With a real, even if tiny, castle, forest, and dragon, and all other stuff that a real kingdom should have.

The only thing Aurelka ought to do now to become a true princess, is to give her first order!

What does it mean to be a wise ruler? What does it mean to own a kingdom? Is a princess allowed to do whatever she wants?

The show was prepared on the 100th anniversary of Polish independence, but we play it for variety of reasons.
One of those is a need for conversation what does it mean to be a patriot nowadays, to be responsible for one’s own country and how difficult it is to make a good decision.

The production of the show was financially supported by Urząd Marszałkowski Województwa Małopolskiego with funds from „Małopolska moja wolność”.
